Happy Erin at the front door - just basic for now - no hardware, no paint, no peephole... but its a door and Erin is quite happy.

This is so they don't forget what to call that area above the ceiling but below the roof... you know... starts with an "A" or something...

OK, people - that's a wrap!

It was extremely foggy this afternoon, so visibility wasn't all that great, but the house is now wrapped and the shingles have been started.

You can just make out the lighter shaded shingles in the below shot on the right hand side of the roof - they will be more tan in regular daylight (they look a little dark in the deep fog).

And the little strips of siding around the very edge of the roof are on as well.

And our future neighbors now have a slab poured, so they are only a week or two behind us in construction - should mean no construction noise for us once we move in. :)

According to one of the roofing subcontractors we ran into today the roof should be finished by Tuesday night.

Permitting is almost complete - should get a call this week from the construction supervisor for our pre-construction meeting - ground should be broken in less than a week or two.

And we have a Doc Box:
